On Loathing Facebook
If you are a friend of mine and I at some point sent you an invitation to join Facebook and you accepted it, I would like to extend my very sincerest of heartfelt apologies.
This morning I strolled over to flickr to find that one of my contacts had posted this. Like my contact, I recommend viewing it large, as the anxiety produced by viewing this image cannot be adequately realized with only the smaller version.
Here's the thing: Facebook seems to be more targeted towards my generation, while MySpace seems more targeted towards younger generations. So, that said, can I please just be in touch with people without having to log on to a million and one notifications about ABSOLUTELY NOTHING? Did the people at freaking Facebook not get the memo that ADULTS DON'T LIKE BULLSHITTING AROUND WITH FAKE MARTINIS, MOVIE QUIZZES AND VIRTUAL PIZZAS?!? HOW THE HELL OLD ARE WE?!? Who has time for this?
Anyway, I'm sorry. There's nothing wrong with just deleting your profile. That's what I'm about ready to do.
