230 Pages of Extraneous Information
Not all that long ago, a friend gifted me a subscription of Real Simple. Actually, wait a minute, I can't really blame her... she gifted me the magazine subscription of my choice, and at that point in time I was wishing for a life that was a little more simple, so there you go. Perfect selection.
Maybe it's just me, but this thing is fraught with a whole bunch of useless crap, for example, Martha Stewart-esque ideas for how to spend a day or two making better repeat-use of the random gift boxes I've been saving for the last six years (um, like any normal person, I threw them all away before my last move, if not before then). Every now and then there's something useful, but I only find it during the hourlong period of complete inactivity in which I can't find much else to do and therefore spend it poring through the pages of this very weird publication... a rare occurrence in my life for a good while now.
They should send you this magazine for free, and charge you fifteen bucks to stop sending it.
